Shreveport Personal Trainer – Jalapeno Burger

First, I apologize for not adding the little wavy thing above the “n” in “jalapeno.”  But, I couldn’t find that key on this keyboard.  So please, bear with me, and please, PLEASE don’t read that pepper’s name as “jalla pen no.”  That would be horrible.

ANYWAY, I also have a confession – I totally stole the image of the jallapenno hamburger I attached in this post.  Thing is, I ate the fruits of my labor immediately after they were finished.  I mean, I just fixed them up, sat down to go over some digital paperwork, and thinking, “man, there has to be something I was supposed to do.”

What to Get

  • 3 tablespoons, tomato paste (I actually just mashed the heck out of some tomma toes to make this)
  • 4 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
  • 1 teaspoon, cilantro
  • 1 pound, lean ground beef (I used the 90/10)
  • 4 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

How to Use What You Got

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, jalapenos, garlic, tomato paste and cilantro.
  • Form mixture into desired number of patties (I just made two, cuz that’s how I roll.)
  • Cover both sides of patties with desired amount of Cajun seasoning
  • Grill 4 to 5 minutes each side, flippin’ till they run clear

I also have been using the Pepperidge Farm “Very Thin” bread for everything lately.  Just a good toastin’, and they’re good to go.
